About Michelle

My name is Michelle Mattner. I am married and have three kids (or two cats and a dog, however you prefer to look at it).

I started this blog not as a journal, but simply as a way to share the thoughts I have on a day-to-day basis. If other people’s thoughts seem to be so intriguing to everyone, why not mine?

I enjoy drawing, music, photography, and jewelry-making. A little like your everyday, average person, but maybe not quite the same. I also have an extreme, irrational fear of spiders. I fear other things as well, but nothing is quite so horrifying as the eight-legged creatures just waiting to jump on me while I sleep. •

• My husband says he will kill them for me, but he never does, at least not without groaning and complaining first. However, I can handle daddy long legs; they just seem peaceful to me, as I imagine them with a smiling cartoon face.

I have an Associate’s degree in liberal arts, and am currently working toward my Bachelor’s in accounting. Until I have finished school, I will continue working my 40+ hours a week, taking a couple classes at a time, and doing the other things I enjoy.

    I too, have an irrational fear of spiders! Must be inherited. Your writing sounds just like you talk. It cracked me up!
