What’s that? That’s not good at all.

It has come to my attention that I have not posted anything lately, because, quite frankly, I cannot come up with anything to say. So this is my attempt at throwing some thoughts into the air.

Here’s something. The conversation I just had with my husband:

Me- “Why are you eating that right now? Are you hungry?”
Mike- “I wanted to eat some because it sounded tasty.”
Me- “What in your right mind would make you think that cottage cheese sounds good right now??”
Mike- “It just sounded good.”
Me- “Why would you like cottage cheese?”
Mike- “There was a six-year span that I didn’t even eat it… It tastes great now!”
Me- “Well you should have just stayed there..”

And then he put the cottage cheese away while continuing to sing Journey songs at an annoyingly loud level. He was singing to the dog, mind you. And changing the words so that they related to the dog. Until I said to stop. And that’s about as far as that went. For the time being, anyway.

This is basically a day-to-day occurrence, only with varying foods. One day it’s sauerkraut, the next it’s artichoke hearts, or garlic (yes, straight garlic from a jar), or crazy tuna creations that look sadder than cat food. I’m not even sure the cat would eat that tuna. That’s how gross it looks.

I don’t have much else to say right now. My husband eats some weird, nasty food. And there’s not a whole lot I can do about it, except plug my nose and make something else for me to eat.

Oh, and he has a weird obsession with potato pancakes. Just saying.

Ha! He and Matt are in a footrace to the nastiest food , I think! The ONLY time I ever craved cottage cheese was when I was preggers! Now, it almost makes me nauseated to look at it! At least he’s not dipping chips in it, a la Matt!

No, don’t think I’ll do that, but there is a whole world of wonderful food (not cottage cheese) that Michelle refuses to try. It is a sad thing.

It is sad. You are missing out Michelle, on LIFE!!!

        interesting facts:

Low Fat cottage cheese it is actually healthier for you than yogurt. lower in sugar and fat, higher in protein. and it is delicious. I should mention however, MIKE, never, ever under any circumstances buy prairie farms cottage cheese. it sucks ass. the consistency and flavor are less than quality.
        Country Fresh all the way.

Sources: Dairy/Frozen stocker for 5 years.

        PS: your husband is amazing

I’m not missing out on life. I just choose to eat my own versions of tasty food.
I don’t like cottage cheese or yogurt. And aside from plain fruits and veggies there is probably not a lot of healthy things I do eat. Haha… Example: Sugar Toast is Amazing! But nobody knows it! Mmm..

My cottage cheese is Michigan Brand made–oddly enough–in Ohio. Quite good. The quality is top notch, and I definitely prefer the small curds to the large. Haven’t had a bad batch yet.

        And yes, I am amazing.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that sugar toast is exactly what it sounds like.

Mike I have also gone through spans where i thought i didn’t or wouldn’t like a certain food especially when i was younger. then my taste-buds matured.
Try cottage cheese with some sliced pineapple or pear, maybe even some apple.

It may be exactly what it sounds like, but you have no idea how tasty it is! or sugar and cinnamon toast.
And my taste buds are just fine. I just choose simple foods, and they make me happy.

Perhaps you’re not completely aware of how happy your taste buds can actually make you when you try something new, and rich.
